If you are visiting the city of Cleveland, Ohio you have one place that you must visit. That place is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If you go without seeing it you will regret it. It is just one of those things that you have to do. Read on to find out why.


The experience begins with the building itself. Designed by the famous architect I. M Pei, the building is an incredible piece of art itself. Inside the building visitors can tour a number of exhibitions. One of the most famous is the Jimi Hendrix collection. This exhibition opened in 2000 and has become a crowd favorite. Among other things, it includes interactive displays, photos, original drawings, costumes, lyrics and guitars used by Hendrix.


Another popular exhibition is Rave On. It pays homage to the pioneers and founders of rock and roll. That includes such artists as Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Buddy Holly and many more artists and bands. Next on the list is the R.E.S.P.E.C.T exhibit. It is there to pay tribute to Soul music and its influence on rock and roll. In this exhibit you can learn about Ray Charles, James Brown, Sam Cooke and others. These are just a few of the permanent exhibits housed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to the permanent exhibits the Hall of fame often plays host to traveling collections. These are always changing so you will have to contact the hall for information on current exhibitions.
